If you are staying in Sagres, in Lagos or nearby and want to have a surf experience with Freeride Surfcamp & School, you can attend to our daily SURFARIS - a trip to the beach with surf course with qualified surf monitor, transport and equipment included. We pick-up people every day in Lagos and Sagres, or we can do pick-ups in any other place with previous arrangement.

All our lessons emphasize safety and fun, but we also take the next step and teach our students to view the ocean with a surfer’s eye so they can safely surf on their own with confidence.

Private Surf Lessons, from 1 to 6 Days:

Get all the surf coach attention and make the most of your time with an intensive 1h30 private surf lesson.
Specially aimed at children from 5 to 9 years old and to all surfing levels.
From beginners to Intermediate, and Advanced surfers, looking to improve their surfing technique.

The Private teaching for intermediate to advanced surfers cover a variety of activities designed to improve surfing technique, speed and manoeuvrability, stance, flow & fitness and give an opportunity for surfers to understand their surfing strengths and weaknesses.

Surfcamp Packs

Surf Academy - for beginners includes:

Deluxe 7 night Accommodation and breakfast at 4* Design Hotel Memmo Baleeira overlooking the Sagres harbour + free use of SPA (no one refuses a relaxing swim in the warm water of the indoor pool of the Hotel SPA, or a sauna after a great day of surfing) + 5 Days of  Surf Surf Course (3 hours per day) including all the surf equipment and transport with the Freeride Surf School certified Surf Coaches + free Wi Fi in all the Hotel + Freeride staff available to help in in any other request you may have + Insurance.

The Surfcamp pack - “Surf Academy” (accommodation + breakfast +transport + surf equipment + surf course) is aimed at complete beginners, inexperienced surfers or surfers with level who want progress faster.

Freeride’s local and experienced staff will drive you every day in search of the spot with the best conditions. This wild stretch of coast, on the western shore of the Algarve, has over twenty fantastic and uncrowded spots.

Surfari - for adventure surfers includes:

General Terms & Conditions

Bookings, terms & conditions

30% of total amount of your stay at the Freeride Surfcamp must be paid 3 weeks before your arrival.
The payment of the booking percentage or the total amount of your stay must be made by bank transfer using the information that we will send you by email.

Your booking will become valid after your registration form and the corresponding payment reach us and you receive an email from Freeride Surfcamp confirming the reception of the booking. We do advise you to book as soon as possible due to our limited vacancies. This way, if the date you choose it’s sold out, you may choose another date.

Due to the surfcamp nature, there may have to be changes to the planned surf courses. In case of bad weather or dangerous conditions for surf practicing, the organizer can offer a suitable alternative program or cancel surf classes.

The equipment it’s put at participants disposal free of charge. Should the participant lose or negligently damage the material, he/she will be responsible for replacing it or paying its current value.

The Freeride crew expects full cooperation from the participants, as well as, observance to the Surf School rules and abidance to the surf monitors. Should any participant infringe the Surf School rules and thereby endanger the safety and security of other participants or the reputation of the organisers, he/she may be suspended from the course after a final warning. In this case the course price will not be refunded.

Cancellations & Refunds

For withdrawals up to thirty days in advance or if you nominate a substitute participant we will charge an administration fee of 25 euros. For withdrawals less than 30 days in advance of date of your arrival we cannot offer refunds, though, you can use the booking any time in the future, rescheduling your stay for a more suitable time – please contact us if there are any problems.
The Freeride surf packs include insurance.

The travelling arrangements to the Surfcamp are at the participants own responsibility and expense by plane, car, bus or train.
